Park

A centuries old wide park, which borders with the botanic garden of Villa Carlotta. The trees range from chestnut, magnolia, oleafragrans, wisteria, palm, pine, ilex, privet, mediar to many others.

Locality

Anciently, a inn rose in Cadenabbia di Griante, where comballi (mercantile boats that transported goods and commodities to the coast villages) were used to call. In 1820, from this inn, was born the first hotel for tourists and visitors with the name of Albergo della Cadenabbia, later Hotel Belle Vue. Since then, Cadenabbia became one of the best target preferred from English, who here they settled in a large number, forming a community so important that at the end of the last century has been constructed an Anglican Church, the first in Italy, under the diocese of Gibraltar. Cadenabbia has several residential villas, along its coast: maybe a unique concentration for architectonic and historical importance.
